Part time Elementary Music/Song Leader Specialist, Math Game Specialist and/or STEM Specialist - Opening date 10/8/19

Description

Create music fun and/or facilitate math skill games with K-5 elementary students.

Qualifications

-Demonstrate efficient communication skills

-Ability to work well with parents, staff and administration with respect and dignity, and encourage them to be partners in the educational and social success of their students

-Ability to work effectively as a team member, participate and become part of the team on an instructional, grade or school level

-Possess a positive, supportive and kind attitude toward all we work with and for

-Be open to trying new things that will improve the school, its staff and its students

Purpose

The purpose of this position is to assist students in mastering concepts and standards for the purpose of deepening their knowledge as well as gaining and sharpening skills to become successful citizens in life.  In addition, we hope to create a staff who is willing to work together for the ultimate goal of what is best for students as unique individuals.


Part time Elementary P.E. Specialist - opening date 11/19/19

Description

Adapts sporting activities for the purpose of providing a method to support and/or reinforce game participation. 

Assists students, individually or in groups, with physical education class (e.g. game rules, soccer, football, softball, etc.) for the purpose of presenting and/or reinforcing learning concepts.

Implements physical education programs (e.g. demonstrates physical activities, answers questions, presents activities, etc.) for the purpose of assisting the teacher in improving students' skills success through a defined course of study. 

Inventories textbooks and other teacher materials for the purpose of tracking and maintaining inventory. 

Maintains physical education equipment (e.g. adapting sporting materials, assembling, inventory, setting up/taking down game equipment, taking attendance, balls, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring availability of items and/or providing reliable information to assist students during their physical education class. 

Monitors individual and/or groups of students in a variety of settings for the purpose of enforcing school rules regarding student behavior and participation, and/or providing a safe and positive learning environment. 

Performs record keeping and clerical functions (e.g. copying, taking attendance, phone calls, etc.) for the purpose of supporting the teacher and/or in providing necessary records/materials. 

Promotes good habits and sportsman like conduct for the purpose of improving the quality of students outcome and encouraging student development.  

Purpose

The purpose of the Elementary Physical Education Specialist position is to provide a well-rounded, kind, respectful, innovative PE Specialist to assist students in mastering concepts and standards for the purpose of deepening their knowledge as well as gaining and sharpening skills to become successful citizens in life. In addition, we hope to create a staff who is willing to work together for the ultimate goal of what is best for students as unique individuals; working with individual and/or groups of students for the purpose of instruction of students during their physical education class time; and providing clerical support to teacher/s and staff. 


Full time - Elementary (K-6) Teacher - opening date 1/17/20  

 Qualifications

-Demonstrated expertise in the subject to be taught, as evidenced by personal skills and knowledge, an undergraduate major or minor or graduate degree in subject to be taught.

-Utah state teaching certification and any other applicable credentialing requirements.

-Demonstrate efficient communication skills.

-Possess the ability to experience and engage the interest of school-age children.

-Have the ability to work with and acknowledge children as unique individuals; be able to diversify in all aspects of working with children including those with special needs.

-Respect fellow teachers, co-workers, staff, administration and students within the school. 

-Teaching experience is preferred but not required.

-Ability to work well with parents, with respect and dignity, and encourage them to be partners in the educational and social success of their students.

-Ability to work effectively as a team member, participate and become part of the team on an instructional, grade or school level.

-Be willing to adjust instruction and ask for support as needed for each student based on their unique needs.

-Possess a positive, supportive and kind attitude toward all we work with and for. 

-Be open to trying new things that will improve the school, its staff and its students.
