Full time CTE/Technology and or Business Teacher - Opening date 5/1/2018

 Qualifications

-Demonstrated expertise in the subject to be taught, as evidenced by personal skills and knowledge, an undergraduate major or minor or graduate degree in subject to be taught.

-Utah state teaching certification and any other applicable credentialing requirements.

-Demonstrate efficient communication skills.

-Posses the ability to experience and engage the interest of school-age children.

-Have the ability to work with and acknowledge children as unique individuals; be able to diversify in all aspects of working with children including those with special needs.

-Respect fellow teachers, co-workers, staff, administration and students within the school. 

-Teaching experience is preferred but not required.

-Ability to work well with parents, with respect and dignity, and encourage them to be partners in the educational and social success of their students.

-Ability to work effectively as a team member, participate and become part of the team on an instructional, grade or school level.

-Be willing to adjust instruction and ask for support as needed for each student based on their unique needs.

-Possess a positive, supportive and kind attitude toward all we work with and for. 

-Be open to trying new things that will improve the school, its staff and its students.

Purpose

The purpose of this position is to provide a well-rounded, kind, respectful, innovative teacher to assist students in mastering concepts and standards for the purpose of deepening their knowledge as well as gaining and sharpening skills to become successful citizens in life.  In addition, we hope to create a staff who is willing to work together for the ultimate goal of what is best for students as unique individuals.

Full time - Secondary P.E. Teacher - opening date 2/4/19

Part time - Special Education Aide - opening date 2/7/19

Description

Under the direct supervision of a certificated teacher, aide/para-educator assists with student physical (such as toileting, changing diapers), and emotional maintenance and instruction in regular education curriculum in accordance with the students’ IEP, assists with the implementation of the Individualized Education Program, assists with preparation and presentation of teaching materials, monitors students while at lunch or on the playground, assists with the loading and unloading of students.

Qualifications

-High School diploma or equivalent.

-Must demonstrate basic competence in reading, writing, math and interpersonal relations.

-Some previous general experience in working with children with disabilities is preferred but not required.

-Must be able to maintain student and school confidentiality.
-Ability to work well with parents, with respect and dignity, and encourage them to be partners in the educational and social success of their students.

-Be willing to adjust and ask for support as needed for each student based on their unique needs.

-Possess a positive, supportive and kind attitude toward all we work with and for.

-Be open to trying new things that will improve the school, its staff and its students.
